What Your Baby is Doing This Week

Your baby should weigh around 3 pounds (1,400 grams) and measuring about 10.8 inches (27 cm). Your baby will continue to gain weight and add layers of fat. Your baby will start practicing to breath on her own this week and you may even feel rapid rhythmic movements in your belly - don't worry, your baby most likely has the hiccups.

What Your Body is Doing This Week

This week may bring another concern to many a mother-to-be : constipation. Along with the great things the hormones of pregnancy do, a common complaint is constipation because those same hormones slow down the digestion process. Regular, light exercise and eating foods high in fiber such as fibrous veggies, fruits and whole grains will keep everything running on schedule and stop a lot of the discomfort.
